Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the Snake Reveal app for iOS and Android. It covers the player profile, cloud-synchronised progress, leaderboards, optional analytics, rewarded advertising and related support requests. It does not replace the separate privacy policies of Apple, Google or other services you choose to use.
Data we process
Depending on how you use Snake Reveal, we process:
- Account data: a randomly generated Firebase anonymous user identifier, account creation and update timestamps.
- Player profile: the display name you choose.
- Game progress: experience points, level, eggs, lives, rewards, missions, high scores, premium status, purchased or unlocked content, revealed and seen images, tutorial status and related timestamps.
- Leaderboard data: display name, score, level, speed, premium and score-boost status, leaderboard type and update time.
- Settings stored on your device: selected mode, map, speed and theme, sound and notification choices, privacy choices, inbox state and cached progress or leaderboard information.
- Technical information: information needed by Firebase, Apple, Google Play and AdMob to provide, secure and diagnose their services, such as app and device information, IP address, operating system, language, identifiers and network data.
- Support information: information you include in an email or privacy request.
Snake Reveal does not ask for your real name, email address or password to create the in-game account. Payment card details are handled by the relevant app store and are not received by LVU Digital Media.
Anonymous accounts and public player names
The app signs you in through Firebase Anonymous Authentication. The generated identifier is pseudonymous, but it is still personal data because it connects your profile, progress and leaderboard records. There is no email address or password attached to this account.
Your chosen display name and leaderboard results are visible to other players. Do not use your real name or include contact details or other sensitive information in your display name.
The anonymous account is tied to the app installation. Removing the app, clearing its data or changing device may make the account inaccessible, but does not by itself delete cloud records.
Purposes and legal bases
- We create the anonymous account, save progress, deliver game features and provide leaderboards to perform the service requested by you.
- We secure the app, prevent abuse, moderate display names, diagnose faults and maintain fair leaderboards based on our legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable game.
- We use Firebase Analytics only with your consent.
- We and Google request advertising consent where required. Other permitted advertising processing may rely on a different legal basis explained in the Google consent form.
- We process privacy requests and retain necessary records to comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Consent-based Firebase Analytics
Analytics collection is disabled until you actively choose Share statistics. If enabled, Firebase Analytics receives the app-instance identifier and anonymous account identifier, along with:
- game mode, map, speed, selected theme and timed challenge;
- current level and free or premium status;
- score, outcome, earned XP and eggs, duration, completed rounds and use of rewind or score boosts;
- standard app, device, session and approximate location information collected by Google Analytics.
Player display names and reveal images are not sent as custom analytics events. You can withdraw or give consent at any time under Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage statistics. Disabling analytics stops future optional collection and clears the Analytics user ID on the device; it does not automatically erase data already collected. You may request deletion as described below.
Rewarded advertising and AdMob
Snake Reveal can offer an optional rewarded advertisement in exchange for an in-game benefit. Google Mobile Ads and its advertising partners may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, ad views, diagnostics and consent signals to deliver, limit, secure and measure ads and, where you consent, to personalise them.
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and store advertising choices where required. When applicable, you can review them under Settings → Privacy → Advertisement privacy. Availability of personalised or non-personalised ads depends on your region, choices and Google's requirements.
How long we keep data
- Anonymous account, profile, cloud progress and leaderboard records are kept while the game account is in use. At present they remain until you request deletion or the service is discontinued, unless a longer period is legally required.
- User-level and event-level Firebase Analytics data is configured for a maximum retention period of 14 months. Standard aggregated reports may remain available for longer because Google's retention control does not apply to those reports.
- Local settings, consent choices and caches remain on your device until you change or reset them, clear the app data or uninstall the app.
- Google and its advertising partners retain advertising and consent data under their own published retention rules.
- Privacy and deletion correspondence is normally kept for up to twelve months after the request is closed, unless it is needed longer for a legal obligation or claim.
Access and deletion requests
To request access, correction or deletion of your Snake Reveal account and associated cloud data, email info@lvudigitalmedia.be with the subject Snake Reveal data deletion request. Include your player display name, device platform and approximate account creation date. If you can access your anonymous Firebase user ID, include it as well.
We may ask for limited additional information to verify that the request relates to your pseudonymous account. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month. Once verified, we delete the Firebase anonymous account, player profile, cloud progress and leaderboard entries unless retention is legally required. Because analytics data is not searched by player name, deletion from Analytics may require the app-instance or anonymous user identifier.
Uninstalling Snake Reveal alone does not submit a deletion request. Deletion is permanent and can remove progress, unlocks and leaderboard results.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority where you live or work. Contact details and complaint forms are available at www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Children
Snake Reveal is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from a child who cannot validly consent under applicable law without authorisation from a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided data without the required authorisation can contact us to request deletion. Players should always choose a display name that does not reveal a child's real identity.
Security, automated ranking and policy changes
We use access controls, encrypted connections and the security measures provided by Firebase and the mobile platforms. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Leaderboard positions are calculated automatically from submitted scores. This ranking has no legal or similarly significant effect.
We may update this policy when the app, service providers or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will always be published at this URL.
